Our local officers have worked for many years in Warwickshire schools, and have vast experience of representing their colleagues. | What does
Warwickshire NUT do?
Every year we help members concerned about conditions of service, salaries, ill-health, bullying & harassment, pensions disciplinary matters, threat of redundancy, By working with the LEA we are able to solve a wide range of school-related problems for NUT members. No other union can offer an equivalent level of support. Together with the other teacher unions a team of experienced Warwickshire NUT officers negotiate with Warwickshire LEA agreements on pay & conditions in the County. Warwickshire NUT members can see a list of these local agreements by logging on to the members section of this website and obtain further information from Divisional office 01926 745351 or email nutwarwick@ntlworld.com Regional & National Support Our Midlands Regional Office provides additional specialist support in the fields of maternity leave, sickness, legal problems and industrial tribunals. Ours is the only Union with its own specialist team of Regional Solicitors. Further support with local as well as national issues is available from our London Head Office.
The members are the union. We try to make sure that all our members are kept up to date with issues that affect them. We have a termly newsletter which goes to every school and directly by email to members who give us their address. The National Union produces a magazine which goes out eight times a year to every member. An effective Union has active members, so please try to contact your local Association or Division office and come to local meetings when you can. Job Security By working with schools & the LEA Warwickshire NUT has ensured that our County remains one of a diminishing number of Authorities where no permanent teacher has been made compulsorily redundant.
